| Unicolour Stains
|
The ”UNICOLOR” are the new generation of wood dyes, very high concentrated,
dispersed in bivalent solution.
This allows them to be both mixable with water or
thinners (mainly used one is acetone).
They are fit for all kinds of timbers and, although
they are not properly out-dooring dyes, they have a
quite high light resistance.
They are commonly employed by spraying, but brush
and dip coating application are also possible; for the proper use they are
generally diluted 1:8 or
1:10
The final result is a uniform colour with an
excellent transparency that underlines the wooden beauty.
The further
next layer of coat with solvent-based paint do not change the colour (“non
bleeding dyes”), while, with water based products, tests to examine the
behaviours of the painting cycle are required.
The “UNICOLOR” are over coat-able with
nitrocellulose (NC), polyurethane (PU), acid cured (AC), and after a proper
sealer, with polyester (PE) coatings.
When added in small percentages to the last NC/PU
coating, they aid to light the colour by uniforming the wooden dye, without leaving a “plastic” effect to the article.
It’s also possible add to the “UNICOLOR”,
during their application, a nitro solvent-based “vehicle” (carrier), or a
proper IDROFLOW (water based carrier). In this way a better colour uniformity
will be achieved, even on “difficult” timbers.
The “UNICOLOR” series is available in 7 base
colour and 10 derivate colours. On demand and for quantities “tailor made”
colour can be executed.
SUITABLE
TIMBERS:
Beech tree,
ash, fir, pine, oak, walnut, frakkè,
Sweden
pine, yellow pine, hemlock, teak.
